Concept design of a specialised cutting tool for accurately sectioning a sheet (e.g. adhesive paper, laminates) without cutting through the backing/support material.
Retrofitting of a fan into an existing wireless charging unit with the aim to lower the enclosure surface temperatures, and to cool down electronic components to stabilise the device's performance. CFD was initially utilised to establish air-flow, fan placement, and fan size. Prototypes were then built to showcase the proof of concept, and to facilitate temperature measurements. Tooling for the manufacture of a new enclosure and the various internal components were designed and commissioned. Parts manufacturing was managed, and components and fixtures were sourced. Manufacturing steps were developed, and production standard operation procedures (PSOP) were formalised. The manufacturing of the device was then commissioned and handed over to the production team.
Concept design of a silicone cartridge dispenser.
Concept design of a stage to study bone cell interaction/growth under one-directional micro-motion.
Micrometer alignment stage for 3-point bend testing of heart stents.
Design of an apparatus to cut doubled sided very high bond strength (VHB) tape into equally sized strips without distortion of the VHB tape itself.
Design of a pressure chamber for device calibration purposes.
